“Children: The spiritual thoughts and representatives of Life, Truth and Love” – Mary Baker Eddy
This Church provides a Sunday School for children and young people between the ages of 3 and 20. Children younger than 3 are cared for in our Children’s Room.
The innocent perspective a child has on life is celebrated in our Sunday School. Christ Jesus emphasized the importance of childlikeness when he said, “Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 18:4). This child-thought is nurtured in an environment of love and acceptance. Bible stories, the Lord’s Prayer, the Sermon on the Mount and the Ten Commandments are used along with Mary Baker Eddy’s book, Science & Health with Key to the Scriptures, to help students learn about God.
The older kids study weekly Bible lessons, explore ideas, and find answers to tough questions. The emphasis is always on love and respect for parents, teachers, our community, and each other.
Fun activities, discussion, questions and answers, songs and Bible-based teaching deepen their understanding of God and the lessons of Christ Jesus.
All ages learn how to pray effectively.
